Nakul Makkad

Nakul Makkad is a cross-functional data and AI leader with a track record of bringing structure, clarity, and technical excellence to early-stage and rapidly scaling organizations. 

Nakul has led high-impact machine learning and data initiatives at startups and growth-stage companies, including Homesnap (a CoStar company), where he built and scaled internal ML platforms supporting hundreds of thousands of users. At Avantus Federal, he partnered with government agencies to architect AI programs from the ground up—translating complex mission needs into agile, scalable data solutions.

In both in-house and consulting roles, Nakul has guided cross-disciplinary teams through ambiguity, helping organizations define their data strategy, operationalize AI capabilities, and build the systems and processes that underpin sustainable growth.
